An Open Invitation to Share Your Knowledge
The responsibility for preventing wounds and managing those that already exist falls heavily on nurses around the world. What’s happening in Australia is probably happening in other countries too; fewer registered nurses are actually doing the ‘hands-on’ wound management and it is now the domain of the enrolled nurses or nursing assistants.
These nurses are enthusiastic but with the best will in the world often have little knowledge, skills and/or training in assessing wounds and knowing when, or how, to refer on.
Providing free e-newsletters to members in countries around the world is just one way to share information and if you have access to, and are able to attend, conferences, so much the better…. you are lucky!!
Healthcare facility managers need to send enrolled nurses and assistants to conferences if indeed they are the staff responsible for wound care in the facility.
For nurses in countries that do not have access to current information I trust our newsletters help. Please write and let us know what you think, what you need… and how we can help… share your case studies.
We will post them on this website to the rest of the world… to all members receiving The Wound Centre ® newsletters in so many countries… here are the countries where most members live. So if you want to communicate with others you have a huge audience!
